Performs duties to support the Emergency Department and patient care functions. Under the general direction of guidance of the ED Registered Nurs, the Emergency Room Technician (ERT) functions as an integral part of the patient care team. Performs to the level of the scope of practice for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) held by the ERT.
Requirements
- Hold and maintain in good standing an Idaho Emergency Medical Technician license or certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant by the State of Idaho
- Current BLS certification.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

- Frequent standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting/turning from waist pushing/pulling objects on rollers/wheels bending. Frequent walking, reaching above shoulder level, moving objects horizontally (left to right) and vertically (up and down) up to 25 lbs, sometimes up to 50 lbs, employees are to ask for assistance when lifting more than 50 lbs, limited sitting. Frequent handling (holding, grasping, working with hands), fine finger manipulation (pinching, picking, working with fingers). Senses needed to perform the essential functions of the position. Frequent need to hear and talk in quiet/noisy surroundings and talk/hear with over the telephone. Vision for near/far acuity, depth perception, color vision.
