Emergency Medicine Physician

Qualified Candidates:

• M.D. or D.O.
• Experience preferred, will consider new grad resident.
• Board certified/board eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred

The Practice:
The ED sees an average of 12 patients a day (24 hour period) or 4,400 a year. The current staff for the Emergency Department includes 3 full-time ED Physicians and 1 full-time experienced ED Physician Assistant along with a PRN pool that fills in where needed. There is one ED provider on shift in addition to a RN House Supervisor, ED RN, and ED Tech along with 24/7 coverage in Radiology, Laboratory, and Respiratory. The ED providers work seven 12 hour shifts a pay period (every 2 weeks) and many combine and do 24 hour shifts. There is a Walk-in clinic attached to the Blair clinic staffed by Advanced Practice Providers. The hospital uses Tele-hospitalists in the inpatient unit along with a Nurse Practitioner onsite that does inpatient and nursing home rounds for the physicians. We use EPIC as our Electronic Medical Record in the clinic and the hospital.

The City of Blair, located in Washington county, is located in eastern Nebraska on the Missouri River, approximately 20 miles north of the metropolitan Omaha area, and 30 minutes from Omaha's Eppley airfield. The city covers a total area of 5.5 square miles and has a population of 7,948 as of 2020.
