Education and Training:
- High School graduate , or GED
- National Registry EMT cert.
- BCLS Provider cert. (AHA)
- PHTLS or BTLS Provider cert.
- Hazmat training per OSHA requirements
- ICS 100, 200, and 700 level training
- Valid driver’s license
- Pennsylvania Dept. of Health emergency vehicle driver training EVOC and EMSVO
- Maintains licensure and certifications as per job requirements and provides documentation
- Associate’s degree, 60 college credits towards a Bachelor’s degree or approved life credit.
Preferred:
- Instructor certification in at least one EMS related discipline ( e.g. BLS, PHTLS, FISDAP, EMT, etc)
Experience:
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an EMT with Crozer Health EMS, or approved equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a 911 EMT
Progression of Rank:
- Must meet all requirements of EMT with Crozer Health EMS, or approved equivalent
Interpersonal and Behavioral:
- Demonstrates ability to teach in small group settings
Clinical:
- No documented clinical deficiencies during the previous 12 months
- Continuous, unrestricted medical command authorization
