The RN residency program Start Date is tentatively scheduled for Feb 12th, 2024.
The Registered Nurse (RN) resident under the Specialty Training Program provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities, and patient populations. The Residency Programs are designed to build on the educational foundation of the novice or new to specialty RN. Every participant in the program is responsible for providing safe, holistic care to patients throughout the continuum of this program which is designed to offer up to 10 weeks to 6 months (program length dependent on unit) of didactic learning and clinical practice preceptorship to achieve the programs core objectives.
Each RN Resident will receive valuable mentorship and skill development within a supportive team environment.
Department specific responsibilities during orientation:
· The ED RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, planning, and coordinating interventions and consultations.
· Procedures and treatments are provided in the ED including but not limited to, moderate and deep sedation, ultrasonography, intubation, cardioversion, sexual assault exams, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and imminent deliveries. Patient population and diagnosis’ includes acute stroke, acute STEMI, acute psychosis/psychological emergencies, and sepsis. Patients frequently present with alcohol or drug abuse history, or complex medical histories.
· Provide continuing care and monitoring of ED patients in locations outside of ED including MRI, CT, Nuclear Med, Ultrasound, and Radiology.

Pay: $45.61 - $68.49 per hour
