Brand X Custom T-Shirts is seeking Embroidery Operators for 1st, and or 2nd Shifts, Monday - Friday. Experienced Lead Operators looking for a change are strongly encouraged to apply. Brand X Custom T-Shirts is a locally owned business that operates inside AlphaGraphics on University. We are an established Tempe company that is looking for additional team members to join our growing Apparel business. We are located on University just west of downtown Tempe and the Light Rail. We are a full-service operation, Screen Printing, Embroidery, Plot, and Direct to Garment - DTG.
About the Position:
The Embroidery Operators primary job is to set up Embroidery Machines and operate them. Youll be tasked with carrying out the sewing work that has been requested by our clients. This can involve sewing logos into the fabric, creating various patterns, and similar tasks.
Youll also be expected to perform regular maintenance of your machine. This will ensure that its able to operate efficiently as you work to complete our clients orders. Other tasks will include troubleshooting faulty Embroidery Machines and consulting with clients and supervisors to ensure that youre meeting all specifications.
To do well in this role, you should be skilled at operating Embroidery Machines above all else. But you should also have the ability to work efficiently while staying on top of multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Set up Embroidery Machines and select the thread and fabric that will be used for each job
- Sew logos and other patterns into fabric
- Perform regular machine maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot problems that arise with your machine and resolve them
- Balance multiple projects without sacrificing efficiency
- Assist production in other ways to maximize efficiency, as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Other special projects, upon request.
- Expert-level Embroidery Machine operation ability
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Ability to work with multiple types of fabrics and patterns
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to get things done the right way.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a results-oriented environment
- Track record of communicating effectively with a team
- Proven ability to learn new systems quickly
- Possesses a clean the slate attitude. To meet or beat every deadline every day. Leaving nothing undone at the end of each shift.
- Maintains a constant state of motion, knows when to seek guidance from their supervisor or production manager as to where they can help elsewhere in the company
- Operators may be asked to assist in other areas of the Production Department, which include but are not limited to Quality Control, Heat Transfer, DTG & Screen Printing as well as Shipping and Receiving.
- Hourly Range$16.00-19.50 is dependent on experience.
