In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for the electrification of on-highway vehicles through Embedded Software development and functional safety experience.
- Performs Embedded code development and related activities, following the V-model, A-spice and Danfoss SW PDP
- Conceives and develops innovative new methods and algorithms to improve motor control functions
- Focus and passion on improving safety, efficiency, power density and hardware protection for electric drive systems in electric vehicles
- Conceives and develops innovative new methods and algorithms to improve functional safety functions for the safest possible electric vehicle operation.
- Exhibits Proficiency with C-Code, C++ and Matlab development tools.
- Works with functional safety engineers to facilitate software for safety
- Develop test case specifications for software requirements and fault injection
- Perform bench/HIL tests and system validation of all software requirements
- Coordinate engineers working at the software development level within Danfoss and suppliers
- Support management of software requirements and traceability in a Requirements Management system
- Ensure Verification and Validation Plans are derived from the Safety Concept, they are aligned with the Safety Plan and are in compliance with customer requirements and industry standards
- Software development related to Safety and hardware level code
- Assists with Producing work products related to software including: Risk Assessment, Safety Concepts, ASIL assignments/decomposition, Safety Requirements, DFMEA, and Safety Verification and Validation activities (planning and execution)
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree (or equivalent)
- Experience with embedded coding and ability to write and understand C and C++
- Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA)
- Experience with automotive diagnostics protocols like UDS
- Experience with protocol standards like ISO14229
- Should be familiar with SDLC or PDLC
- 3+ years in software development role
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000-$94,000/year. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
