Email Marketing Coordinator

We are looking for a person passionate about healthy lifestyles to help our marketing team grow to new heights. This role will primarily focus on Email Marketing projects to nurture prospects, drive sales and retain customers, with an emphasis on boutique fitness (Midtown Yoga and Gritbox Fitness) and hospitality brands (BB's Crispy Chicken and Durham Food Hall) inside the MDO Holdings portfolio. You will be challenged to think big, strategize, and bring valuable input and energy to the brands, the team, and the company.

• Plan and schedule regular content-based email communications to customers and prospects
• Build and deploy personalized email and other direct marketing communications
• Create and execute automated marketing workflows, including transactional, lifecycle and upsell messages
• Draft engaging copy and proofread all emails for clarity, grammar and spelling
• Request email graphic needs from the creative team
• Manage email lists and identify database segments for new digital marketing campaigns
• Ensure all emails are using mobile-friendly templates
• Optimize email campaigns using personalization, A/B testing, and by incorporating industry best practices
• Analyze campaign-by-campaign performance and report insights to marketing leadership
• Apply reporting, analytics, and industry best practices to improve marketing activities to increase open rates, clicks, engagement, etc.
• Brainstorm ideas for new Email Marketing campaigns
• Assist with additional digital communication channels including, but not limited to, SMS, MMS and push notifications
• Other responsibilities as assigned by manager

• 1-3 years of experience in Email Marketing
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or other related field
• Experience working with email and marketing automation platforms (ActiveCampaign experience is a plus!)
• Sharp attention to detail and astute proof-reading skills
• Strong written & oral communication skills with experience writing email copy
• Excellent time management, interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
