Elkhart Campus Worship Director

SUMMARY

The Elkhart Campus Worship Directorwill primarily be responsible for leading a worship and production team to provide weekly worship experiences that reflect the Granger Community Church mission of, "Helping people take their next steps toward Christ...together." They will be responsible for the overall health and development of their Campus Worship and production team. He or she will have a close relationship with the Pastor of Worship to maintain clear vision and unity.They will also participate in global worship events and planning as part of the creative worship collective. Pouring life into the volunteers, campus attendees and local community is the overarching theme of this role.

The Elkhart Campus Worship Director will also have a strong relationship with the Live Events Director, to ensure consistency in care for production teams, as well as maintaining engaging and functioning production environments. The Worship Director will be involved in trainings for the production volunteers, in coordination with the Live Events Director.

The Worship Director will also serve to help their local community as needed alongside of their Campus Director.However, creative worship will be their primary focus.

Reports to:Pastor of Worship with a dotted line to Campus Director.The Campus Director and Pastor of Worship will maintain a regular line of communication to ensure a clear vision and direction for the Elkhart Campus Worship Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to lead vocally with an instrument (preferably guitar) without using sheet music or charts
  • If not vocally gifted, a proven ability to lead, grow and develop a worship team is required.
• Possess a strong aptitude for church technology and production systems
• High organizational/administrative skills
• General accounting skills
• Ability to chart and transcribe music
• Live Multitrack use via Playback platform (training provided)
• Strong skill using preferred DAW (Logic preferred)

• Ability to effectively lead and develop musicians and vocalists
• Ability to craft well-thought-out speaking moments and transitions in a worship experience (training provided)
• General knowledge of campus-specific production systems (training provided)
• Ability to act as a producer on the weekends to guide services to uphold GCC's standard level of excellence

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Elkhart Campus

• Recruit and create a local volunteer team within the church and outside of the church
• "Equip the saints" and give ministry away
• Uphold Granger Community Church's vision, mission and culture at the Elkhart Campus and within teams
• Lead in producing regular weekend services (service flow and overall experience)
• Maintain regular communication with the Live Events Director and Pastor of Worship to uphold the standards of GCC's production and worship leadership
• Craft and contextualize global worship set to fit the local demographic and environment
• Assist the Campus Director in shepherding the church as needed

Global Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly worship department meetings
• Participate in worship events throughout Granger Community Church campuses as needed
• Lead worship outside of the campus environment as needed

GLOBAL WORSHIP DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in weekly worship department meetings and 1:1's with the Pastor of Worship
• Participate in all major church events (Christmas, Holy Week, Nights of Worship, etc.)
• Participate in creative processes to support the Creative team and other ministries of GCC as needed
• All other responsibilities as assigned by the Pastor of Worship

SUCCESS/WINS

A successful Worship Director will engage the team as we follow Jesus and communicate the good news of the gospel. Weekend arts will inspire and engage. Volunteers will leave weekends feeling energized, fulfilling the vision of GCC by helping people take their next steps toward Christ...together.
