Position: Elementary School Teacher (Grade Levels: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th)
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role: As an Elementary School Teacher at TEACH Las Vegas, you will inspire, educate, and nurture students from kindergarten-6th Grade. You will be responsible for creating a vibrant learning environment that caters to the holistic development of each student. Your role will involve designing and implementing curriculum plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives specific to the grade level.
- Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback to foster a positive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
- Participate in school meetings, parent meetings, and training sessions.
- Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
- Use relevant technology to support instruction.
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
- Provide appropriate feedback on work.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies, and school regulations.
- Prepare required reports on students and activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching certification for the State of Nevada (Non-Renewable/Provisional or Standard)
- Proven experience as an Elementary Teacher in the specified grade level.
- Strong knowledge of educational best practices and teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and training.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a standard classroom environment. Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interactions with students, parents, and staff can be stressful and require patience and tact.
