Job Summary
Position Summary: The Elementary Sport Coach is responsible for initiating various aspects
of the after-school sports program, such as training, and coaching the members of the team. Fall sports include flag football and volleyball, Winter sports include basketball, and Spring sports include volleyball and softball. Practices are held 2 - 3 times a week from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm and games are held once a week at the same time. Some driving is required to get to local games held at nearby schools.
Essential Responsibilities: Assess player's skill and assign team positions. Organize and schedule practice sessions. Lead the team in games. Teach life skills and develop character. Effectively communicate with the athletic director, parents, players, and administrators. Determine game strategy based on the team's capabilities.
Supervision Exercised: Assistant coaches (if applicable) and players.
Supervision Received: The St. John Eudes Athletic Director is the supervisor of this position.

Minimum Qualifications: Multiple years of playing and/or coaching volleyball experience
is preferred. First Aid and CPR certification is required for coaching along with obtaining a Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) card (details given upon hiring).
