A Day in the Life
Tap into your desire to positively impact the lives of underserved youth and help change their future for the better. Yancy Life is looking for Bilingual Academic Interventionists to join their team and play a crucial role in supporting Houston Independent School District students. You will work closely with full-time classroom teachers to provide targeted support to at-risk students during the school day. Your efforts will equip them with the necessary life skills to overcome obstacles, refocus on their studies, and succeed by passing standardized tests.
Making an Impact
● Quickly and accurately assess the learning environment to prepare the students for successful instruction.
● Lead excellent, engaging academic instruction in sessions ranging from one-on-one to upwards of six to eight students.
● Build reports and work collaboratively with full-time instructional staff to adapt your approach and mold the lesson plan to the individualized needs of the students.
● Maintain accurate records and reporting, including daily attendance, individual student progress, and test scores, to ensure students receive high-impact instruction.
You’ll Be Successful
● You are willing to see the potential in every student, have the empathy and grit to meet them where they are, and guide them toward higher academic performance.
● Work with students in grades 3rd – 5th, 6th – 8th, or 9th – 12th
● Available to work 32.5 hours per week for competitive pay ($25 - $30 an hour based on experience and qualifications).
● Have at least one year of experience delivering academic instruction; two years preferred.
● Bilingual Instructor must speak fluent Spanish.
● Superior grasp of foundational Math, Science, or Language Arts.
● Bachelors degree preferred; specific discipline not required.
● Teacher Certification a PLUS.
● Immediate start opportunities (with approved background checks).

Our instructors will provide tutorials at a school campus within 30 minutes of your home address. All pre-employment interviews will be conducted in our Corporate Office at 2626 S. Loop West #562, Houston, 77054. It is important to remember that we do not provide student instruction at our Corporate Office.
