The School
The mission of Aventura Community School is to inspire deep inquiry & purposeful learning that establish our diverse community of students as whole-hearted leaders dedicated to creating a more just & peaceful world.
Aventura Community School is a new public charter K-8 bilingual (English/Spanish) school in Southeast Nashville offering a project-based learning approach and a focus on Global Competence. Aventura opened in the fall of 2022 with grades K-1 and will add one grade level each year (we will have K-3 for the 2024-2025 School Year).
The Team
Aventura Community School is founded by three parent-educators, Dr. Natalie Morosi, Mrs. Katie Castellon, and Mrs. Diana Aguilar, who each have over a decade of experience in bilingual educational settings locally and abroad. Related Arts Teachers will join the leadership team in developing Aventura as a new diverse, bilingual, empowering school option for families in Southeast Nashville.
Responsibilities
- Plan and provide age-appropriate lessons on PE in accordance with students' learning objectives
- Connect and build relationships with students and families in order to support academic and personal needs
- Create a positive, respectful educational environment where students develop confidence and independence as the protagonists of their learning adventure
Qualifications
- Applicable Tennessee teaching license
- Expertise in related arts content and ability to incorporate related arts within interdisciplinary classroom projects
- Alignment with Aventura's unique anchors
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and initiative when approaching a new challenge or opportunity
- Curiosity and a commitment to continued professional growth
