Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance student learning
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs or learning challenges
- Foster the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each student
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and educational best practices
- Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Experience in education administration is a plus
- Ability to proofread and provide constructive feedback on student work
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support is beneficial
- Knowledge of physical education principles and activities is desirable
