The Elementary Curriculum Developer creates curriculum for K-5th elementary environments, primarily focusing on small group content.
Essential Position Resposibilities:
- Write Small Group curriculum for K-2nd and 3rd-5th grade environments.
- Adapt and/or write age-targeted small group games and activities for each week's lesson.
- Collaborate with the curriculum team to develop ideas for each teaching series.
- Work with the Content & Supply Coordinator to cast vision for small group supplies and design needs.
- Represent curriculum needs in supply meetings.
- Review all designs and participate in a final check of all curriculum supplies.
- Work with the Children's Operations Coordinator to monitor programming expenditures against budget.
- Organize curriculum files in Google Drive.
Assist with other curriculum writing as needed.
- Write family devotions and talking points to go with each week's lesson.
- Write teaching video scripts and large group lessons as needed.
- Write content for Bible reading plan, social media posts, and other family resources.
- Write large group/small group curriculum for other environments when needed.
- Assist in developing additional programming for shared family experiences, such as KidSplash, family worship events, leader training, online resources and special events.
Serve on the Children's team.
- Maintain solid relationships with the curriculum team.
- Regularly communicate with teammates on curriculum needs, deadlines, etc.
- Assist with team projects as needed.
Serve in Children's environments
- Observe and assist Children's Ministry rooms every other Sunday at different campuses to gather feedback on curriculum from campus teams and evaluate effectiveness.
- Serve in Children's environments for Christmas, Easter and fall kick-off services, and other special events as needed.
- Work with campuses on troubleshooting and improving curriculum.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
