Job description

As an Electronic/Electrical Technician specializing in the Handling of Mast Interferences at Sanford Federal Inc. for the William Heart Repair project in San Diego, California, you will be a key player in ensuring the proper removal, handling, and storage of sensitive electronic equipment installed on masts. This includes radars, antennas, MARFLIR, and other critical systems integral to the success of the William Heart Repair project.

  • Responsibilities:

1. Mast Interference Handling:

- Execute precise removal, handling, and storage procedures for sensitive electronic equipment installed on masts, ensuring the preservation of equipment integrity and functionality.

2. Equipment Expertise:

- Demonstrate in-depth expertise in the operation, maintenance, and handling of various electronic components commonly found on masts, including radars, antennas, MARFLIR, and other mission-critical systems.

3. Project Experience:

- Provide documented evidence of successful completion of similar projects, showcasing the ability to manage Mast Interferences effectively and contribute to project success.

4. Technical Documentation:

- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation related to the removal, handling, and storage processes, aligning with industry standards and project specifications.

5. Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with project teams, engineers, and fellow technicians to seamlessly integrate mast interference handling activities into the larger William Heart Repair project.

6. Quality Control:

- Implement stringent quality control measures to verify the proper functioning of electronic equipment post-removal and reinstallation on masts.

7. Safety Compliance:

- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and industry regulations throughout all stages of mast interference handling, prioritizing the safety of personnel and equipment.

8. Troubleshooting:

- Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting electronic systems, promptly identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the handling process.

  • Qualifications:

1. Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the removal, handling, and storage of sensitive electronic equipment on masts, with a focus on shipbuilding and repair projects.

2. Project Portfolio:

- A comprehensive portfolio or resume highlighting successful completion of projects involving Mast Interferences Handling, with detailed information on the equipment involved and project outcomes.

3. Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in electronic systems troubleshooting, equipment calibration, and the ability to interpret technical documentation.

4. Communication Skills:

- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear communication of technical information.
