The Electronic Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made
- Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind
- Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions
- Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
- Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
- Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
- Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
- Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in a organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably
Qualifications
Required:
- Associates degree or 2+ years of vocational training
- Three or more years' experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee
- Knowledge and experience working in the following areas: Power Transmission, Lubrication, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Electrical Applications (12VDC to 480VAC), Process Control & Sensors, PLCs & Networking, Automation, and Test Instruments
- Experience performing Preventive Maintenance on industrial equipment
Desired:
- Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment
- Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.)

- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and perform duties on an elevated platform
- Ability to kneel, bend, reach and stoop
- Ability to read, interpret and utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, P&ID)
- Ability to pass a Mobile Equipment test
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time for training and data entry purposes
