Job Description
Job Summary
- Assemble materials by reading work orders, work instructions, following production drawings and referring to sample assemblies, and/or receiving verbal instructions regarding operations to be performed
- Use simple hand tools to manipulate material and hardware as required by specific assemblies ranging from simple to complex
- Strip insulation from ends of wire and cable using wire strippers and solders or wraps wire around terminal to provide electrical connection
- Re-solder broken connections
- Responsible for quality control
- Perform simple test procedures for completed assemblies
- Complete daily production documentation, as necessary
- Clean and maintain work area
- Use problem solving skills, troubleshooting tools, and machines, if necessary
Minimum Skills/Abilities Requirements
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to learn basic solder skills
- Able to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically
- Able to read and comprehend instructions
- Able to sit or stand for long periods
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented
- Team player
Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety and ESD equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, ESD smocks and heel straps. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
