Job Title: Electronic Control Technician
Seeking an Electronic Controls Technician to work as a PLC technician to handle all factory electrical, electronic and equipment controls with a focus towards safety, quality and production efficiency. The ECT designs, modifies, troubleshoots and repairs production electronic components such as machine controls, robots, HMI's, PLCs, motors, drives, and communication equipment. This position requires strong teamwork with both management and plant-floor personnel.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:
  • Perform electrical and electrical safety compliance checks
  • Perform control system and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance as assigned by supervisor
  • Perform projects using PC & PLC programing while maintaining documentation and communication to associates and staff
  • Design, install and troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical components such as VFDs, motion systems, and electrical connection parts
  • Perform projects using SCADA and HMI programming while maintaining documentation

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 2 year Electrical Technician degree or at least 2-3 years of equivalent experience is strongly preferred
  • Allen Bradley experience
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate written and orally in English.
  • Willing and able to stand on a frequent basis.
  • Willing and able to work overtime.
  • Willing and able to work various shifts.

SKILLS:
  • Must be proficient in the following platforms and standards: RS Linx, RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, Factory Talk View, DeviceNet, EtherNet, Data Highway, Microsoft Windows, Lock-Out Tag-Out standards, troubleshooting a 480v electrical connections, Standard electrical symbols and understanding electrical prints, NFPA 70e.
  • Knowledge of the following platforms and standards is desired: Intellution iFix, Wonderware InTouch, RS Asset Centre, SAP, Autocad, Wireless Technologies, Motion Controls, Robotics, High-speed Cameras, X-Ray, Calibrations, Checkweighers, Labelers (Ink and Laser), Electrician Certification, AC Power up to 480V DC power primarily below 50V
