Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• Perform Manufacturing and testing of space hardware subsystems, spacecraft, and ground support equipment.
• Assemble detail parts/components into final products according to work instructions, encompassing structures, mechanisms, subsystems, and systems.
• Fabricate flight harnesses, conduct continuity checks, and adhere to in process procedures utilizing appropriate equipment.
• conduct Inventory checks and inspect parts for compliance with work instructions and documentation.
• ensure parts meet specifications by verifying dimensions and clearances using precision measuring instruments.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical ground support equipment.
• Align, fit, and Assemble component parts utilizing hand tools and fixtures.
• Utilize test equipment to assess performance of parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to identify and solve problems.
• Foster a team environment and contribute to Continuous process Improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
• Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical and electrical assembly of complex parts/components based on work instructions.
• Ability to interpret and work from schematics, engineering drawings, wiring lists, and other technical documentation.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and eligibility for solder certification.
• Flexibility to support various shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), extended hours, weekend work, and overtime as required for a 24/7 test operation.
• Active TS Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Desired skills
• Knowledge or experience in spacecraft Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations.
• Background in spacecraft operations, aviation, automotive repair, or relevant military experience.
• A&P License or ASE Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with overhead crane operations, Personal Arial Lifting Devices (PALDs), and forklift operations.
• Proficiency in general test equipment operations.
• Experience in fabric/canvas repair, upholstery, or tailoring.
• Understanding of space environmental test operations.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $56,900 - $109,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $65,500 - $118,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
