Job Description
Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Managing Director of Nevada Operations
Employee Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Work Location: Las Vegas, NV

Primary Function: This position works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. This position is responsible for troubleshooting issues, repairing malfunction of production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the company's policies, goals, and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as Extruders, Dryers, Mixers, Feeders, Pelletizers, Compressors, Pumps, etc.
  • Repairs or replaces control devices such as switches, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, thermocouples, etc., as needed.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and calibration procedures on equipment.
  • Maintains organized maintenance records filing system (service records, maintenance records, monthly inspection checklists) in CEBOS (ERP System) or hard copy files.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists production team members in solving work problems.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Tests proper operation of equipment.
  • Performs basic carpentry, light plumbing, and other trades as may be required to support the facility.
  • Initiates purchase orders.
  • Performs maintenance work order repairs, inspections, calibrations, and adjustments.
  • Completes (closes out) maintenance work order tickets in CEBOS.
  • Able to set up and operate welder, drill press, grinder, hand tools, and other metal working equipment.
  • Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
  • May be called on during off-shift for emergency breakdowns.
  • Fulfills all work functions in accordance with established work instructions, ISO policies, and company safety policies.
  • Must follow OSHA regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Qualifications:
  • Good computer skills are required.
  • Excellent electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills are required.
  • Knowledge of AC-DC drive systems and pneumatics
Education and/or Experience:
  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree in electronics is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Technical school training is a plus.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Knowledge of Algebra and Geometry.
Language/Communication Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operational instructions, procedure manuals, and SDS sheets.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in using system programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Other Required Ability: Must have good reasoning ability as described below.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry written, oral, or diagram instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
