Electro Mechanical Engineer/Drafter

An Oil & Gas service & supply company with ~500 employees operating out of 32 locations in the US. We are looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer/Drafter for documentation, drawings and assembly diagrams in our organization. We need a motivated and self-starter, who does not back down from a challenge, with experience functioning in a Field Service, Manufacturing, Distribution orientated business.

Candidate will work with engineers and designers on a variety of projects to transform concepts, initial rough designs, and hand sketches into working documents using computer aided drafting (CAD) software.

Candidate must be capable of preparing multiple view drawings for both Mechanical and Electronic parts/components, sub-assemblies and assemblies, detail drawings, electrical schematics/wiring diagrams, block diagrams and technical illustrations. Ability to organize complete system drawing packages and evaluate the impact of design changes. Drawings include complex design features that require considerable drafting skill and experience to visualize and portray. Must have the skills to review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established internal and external specifications and standards. Up to date knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in Electrical/Mechanical drafting within the Oil and Gas industry is advantageous.

Detail-oriented and self-motivated person with hands-on ability to get the job done, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work and communicate well with a variety of professionals in a collaborative atmosphere are expected for this position.

Education & Experience

• Mechatronics Degree or Bachelor of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Mechanical Engineering Technology Associates’ degree/diploma.
• Experienced in the use of computer-aided design software.
• An excellent hands-on problem solver with at least 3 years in an engineering or industrial/oilfield electrical and mechanical office/shop environment.
• Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Develops conceptual electro-mechanical solutions by studying internal and end-customer requirements.
• Assists in other areas of the business as required.

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
