Job Title – Maintenance Mechanic/ Electrician (2nd Shift)
Company Location – Long Beach, CA
On-site, Temp-to-hire
Pay –$37.30/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday from 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (must be able to work OT and Weekends as needed)
Job Summary of the Maintenance Mechanic position
Integr8staff seeks an experienced and dependable Maintenance Mechanic.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic position
Fully committed to meet manufacturing goals, safety, quality and production.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and
preventative maintenance on operating and material handling equipment,
Overhaul and install new equipment.
Perform electrical and mechanical repairs throughout the facility, maintain working area clean and free of debris Calibrate Pressure, Temperature, Flow and Level Sensing devices
Generate part requests to ensure adequate inventory
Diagnose, test, repair and adjust AC/DC systems, industrial controllers, (analog and digital), and wiring up to 480V
Read and work from electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings
Understand basics of electrical control circuits, VFDs, drives, controls, etc.
Rebuild, weld, and fabricate parts.
Perform electrical and mechanical repairs throughout the facility, maintain
working area clean and free of debris.
Generate part requests to ensure adequate inventory.
Complete all projects issued from work orders as assigned.
Complete all required reporting and documentation promptly.
Perform mechanical and maintenance related assistance (i.e., equipment set-up,
repairs, construction, piping installation) as assigned.
Report any equipment malfunction and unsafe practices immediately to
Supervisor on duty.
Observe a good and professional relationship with others (internal and external)
while in promises.
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements of the Maintenance Mechanic position
Minimum (5) years of experience as maintenance mechanic electrician
Must have knowledge of electrical principles to include safety
High School GED / Trade School preferred
1-5 years of industrial maintenance experience required
Must know LO/TO
Proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as electrical controls, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
This person will perform medium to high-level machine systems troubleshooting and repair including retort cooling system, seamer, can washer, conveyor, gear motor and ink jet system.
Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment
Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge preferred
Understanding of preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance methods
Proficient in application and troubleshooting of Micro, Limit, Proximity, and Photoelectric switches. Inductive and Capacitive Sensors, and various types of Level Controls.
Experience in calibration of Pressure, Temperature, Flow and Level Sensing devices.
Understanding of preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance methods
Must be able to read and comprehend electrical diagrams schematics and
blueprints
Basic work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Must be able to read labels and numbers
Available to work flexible, weekend hours due to production demand
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
GMP’s; PPE; HACCP; Quality and Sanitation requirements guidelines
Professional Certifications (e.g., CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred
