Form of workMAIN FUNCTION: Performs all electrical requirements/needs for the hospital. Installs new equipment and performs all repairs to meet manufacturers' specifications and electrical codes on telecommunications equipment, paging systems, nurse call system, T.V.'s, alarms, etc.
EDUCATION: High school education with state of CT electrical Contractor or Maintenance license. E-1 license preferred. Works in strained positions, stoops, and climbs ladders.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years experience as maintenance electrician required.
*As necessary must obtain electrical permits from the local authorities as directed by the Director of Engineering for work to be performed on Griffin Hospital properties. All permit fees will be paid for by Griffin Hospital.*
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Climbs ladders, uses heavy tools, lifts medium weight tools. Occasionally lifts heavy equipment. Refer to attached chart.
