Essential Functions:
- Test electrical systems for continuity, and volt-ampere using devices such as multimeter, and clamp on meters.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Place conduit (pipes and tubing) inside walls or concealed areas. Pull insulated wires. Bend conduit through tubing to complete circuits between boxes and raceways. Skill of running and installing multiple raceways in open and concealed areas.
- Knowledge of bending conduit and pulling cables between through raceways.
- Troubleshoot multi-voltage systems, including transformers, panel boards, contactors, relays, and switchgear.
- Performs routine and complex maintenance and repairs to various electrical equipment.
- Maintains all NEC codes, laws, and regulations. Adhere to all safety codes, quality, and safety rules.
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and industrial structures.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies, if needed.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems in supermarkets, restaurants, and industrial buildings.
- Troubleshoot water heater issues and repair or replace as needed.
- Maintains all health dept standards, laws, and regulations. Adhere to all safety codes, quality, and safety rules.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Perform work safely on ladders, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose lighting, and power issues and explain reasons for breakdown.
- Schedule flexibility as we have night/day hours and some weekends.
- Team player who takes direction well with the desire to foster teamwork to create a positive working environment.
- Must maintain a valid drivers license, and a clean driving record at all times while employed.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS NEEDED
- Qualified Individuals with 1-3 years of commercial electrical knowledge required.
- Experinece reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Experience with using electrical equipment and hand tools and power tools.
- Strong problem solving/critical thinking skills to troubleshoot multi-voltage systems.
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and on time.
- Knowledge of NEC codes and regulations, preferred.
- Attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude is required.
- Experience working with retail grocery stores and restaurants highly desired.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
