Leapros Skilled Trades is looking for experienced traveling or local skill level electricians for a project within the Phoenix metropolitan area. T
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Focus on safety
- Read & comprehend tape measure, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, formulas & processing charts
- Must have knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA safety standards
- Stand, walk, sit, kneel, and walk up & downstairs on regular basis; climb up and down ladders up to 35 feet high repeatedly per shift
- Work from various heights via platforms, scaffolds, ladders, or man-lifts
- Bend and stretch, lift and move heavy objects many times per shift
- Operate, maintain, and work near various power equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, man-lifts, excavators, drills, saws, hydraulic tools, and automatic machinery
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written. Be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Read, understand, and follow Permit to Work procedures
- Other duties may be assigned or requested
- Must have electrical tools including hand benders as well as all PPE (harness preferred)
- Bend and install EMT & rigid conduit up to 3 inches
- Set up and pull wire and cable
- Terminate power, control, and instrumentation wire and cable
- Install and troubleshoot PLC's
- Install and troubleshoot AC and DC Drives
- Single and Three Phase motors and motor control systems
- Solid, stable, and proven experience in the electrical field (2-3 professional references required, letters of recommendation are a plus)
Lead/Start Up/Commissioning
- Support the execution of commissioning procedures for assigned electrical tasks
- Inspect, commission, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and associated control systems and power circuits, power generating equipment, switchgear, and emergency systems; take appropriate action when failures occur
- Acceptance of Mechanically Complete Subsystem packages from Construction
- Punch List management and responsibility of offered Subsystems / Systems
- Complete all relevant project documentation including knowledge of completion systems
- Read, interpret and work from vendor documentation, project drawings, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Maintain and repair low, medium, and high voltage switchgear
- Install and maintain cathodic protection, corrosion control, and associated equipment
- Commission lighting systems and associated control systems
- Inspect and set safety switches
- Maintain records and prepare regular and special reports on electrical and electronic systems
- Analyze work problems and make corrections when will facilitate the completion of system assignments
- Maintain equipment records and parts inventory
- Coordinate activities with other departments and staff
- Establish positive working relationships with immediate supervision and personnel from other departments
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must pass a 5-panel pre-employment drug test.
- Aerial Lift Certification.
- Electrical theory, work methods, tools, and testing equipment used in the commissioning of industrial facilities.
- Telephone, telemetry, and SCADA equipment
- Regulations pertaining to the electrical and electronic installation, maintenance, and repairs
- Electrical Generation and Distribution basics
- Electrical and electronic schematic diagrams
- Lighting Systems and Distribution Panels
- DC and UPS Power Systems
- Wiring and Troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with Turbine Generator Startup and Commissioning
- Experience with Diesel Engine driven Back up Emergency Generator Sets
- Experience with 480VAC, medium voltage 4160VAC, and above switchgear controls
- Principles of variable frequency drives, motors and control systems
- Report writing and records maintenance
- Occupational hazards, standard safety procedures, and electrical safe work practices
