Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Electrician Trainee, Electrician Apprentice, Electrician, Senior Electrician, or Lead Electrician at our BWI Airport facility within the Technical and Environmental Services Group. Responsibilities include performing installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment used for a variety of projects at BWI Airport as well as other MES operated facilities throughout the state. This position will require the ability to perform confined space entry, use of a respirator, ability to work outside, and the ability to work a flexible schedule when assigned. This is a designated emergency essential facility, therefore the ability to work nights, weekends, and during adverse weather conditions will be required. The position requires the ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance. Possession of a Class B commercial driver's license is preferred, but not required.

$38,017.55 - $76,534.73

All position levels require graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED equivalent certificate. All must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points and the ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance. All must be able to lift 50 pounds. All must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Additional Requirements:
Formal training from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field of study may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to three (3) years of the required experience. Preferred candidate's experience will have a focus on motors, pump functions, control panels, and will be familiar with the latest NEC standards.
