Electrician

The service technician is responsible for installing, maintain, and repairing various electrical components, primarily focusing on ceiling fans, light fixtures, electrical panels, and troubleshooting. As a service technician you will collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality services to our valued customers.

• Install ceiling fans in residential and commercial locations, ensuring proper wiring, mounting, and functionality.
• Installation of electrical panels, including main service panels and subpanels, adhering to local codes and safety guidelines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues related to outlets, ceiling fans, light fixtures, and electrical panels, implementing appropriate solutions to resolve problems.
• Follow all safety protocols, codes, and regulations during installations and repairs.
• Utilize various hand and power tools, meters, and testing equipment necessary for electrical work with precision and proficiency.
• Accurately document all work performed, including materials used, time taken, and additional notes or pictures relevant to the job.
• Communicate effectively with customers, answering their questions, explaining the installation process, and ensuring heir satisfaction with the completed work.
• Collaborate with other technicians, providing support and assistance as needed to complete projects efficiently.

• Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units

• Previous electrical experience and training preferred. • Familiarity with local and national electrical codes and regulations • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, meters, and testing equipment commonly used in electrical work. • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, and work in various environmental conditions as required. • Demonstrate attention to detail. • Dependable and punctual, with commitment to completing tasks within specified timelines. • Valid driver's license Kennedy Electric is a full-service Brooksville-based electrical company serving residential and commercial customers in Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco Counties.
