POSITION GOAL/SUMMARY: Provide electrical expertise to the district in all schools and buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Maintain and repair all Fire Alarm Systems.
- Test and repair Emergency Generators throughout the District.
- Install and repair all door security hardware.
- Perform testing and repairs to all intercom / PA systems.
- Install electronic power, communication, control or security equipment or systems
- Install or replace meters, regulators or related measuring or control devices
- Install/connect electrical equipment to power circuit
- Maintain electricians tools or equipment
- Replace electronic components
- Splice electric cable
- Splice electric or communications trunk lines
- Repair or replace electrical wiring, circuits, fixtures, or equipment, or systems
- Install lead-in wires to control boxes and other components
- Install/string electrical or electronic cable or wiring
- Test electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, systems or fixtures
- Analyze operation of malfunctioning electrical or electronic equipment
- Test electronic or electrical circuit connections
- Install electrical fixtures or components
- Construct or fabricate electrical parts or fixtures
- Repair or adjust measuring or control devices
- Performs any other job-related duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent or their designee.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to install/string electrical or electronic cable or wiring.
- Must be able to move or fit heavy objects.
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. - daily basis.
- Must be able to frequently push or pull a cart weighing up to 100 lbs. up to 200 feet.
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs, and moving of your whole body for example: climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Must be able to frequently climb ladders, scaffolding, or utility or telephone poles.
- Must be able to frequently work standing or walk for up to eight hours a day.
- Must be able to occasionally operate a trenching machine or similar equipment for up to eight hours day.
- Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to regularly talk and hear.
- Must be able to regularly balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; and taste or smell.
- Snow removal/shoveling, and or snow blowing when assigned
- Drive automobile, van, or light truck
