Facilities Maintenance

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate and modify electrical systems and equipment and document work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment involved in the manufacture and packaging of pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and modify electrical systems within the production environment.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting of automated building systems and equipment such as HVAC units, building management systems, energy systems, building maintenance systems, purified and domestic water systems and any other systems used in the support of the GMP facility operations.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and repair of process measuring devices involved in ensuring weight, temperature, humidity, speed, volume, count, length, pH, and other factors, and calibration procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of GMP facility equipment.
  • Research, write and revise technical documentation pertaining to qualification of facility equipment. Provide technical assistance for investigations when equipment or system failure occurs.
  • Coordinate projects and repairs with engineering and other in-house support groups. Oversee technical repairs performed by outside contractors on process equipment. Contact equipment manufacturers and vendors for information.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed. Record parts and materials used, and order new parts and materials as necessary. Execute preventative maintenance activities as needed.
  • Maintain PC applications for control systems (i.e.: Andover, Seimens, etc.) and PLC programming for various facility systems.


EHS Responsibilities:
  • Know, understand and comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) guidelines
  • Report unsafe conditions
  • Report all injuries, illnesses and hazardous materials releases
  • Wear personal protective equipment
  • Attend HSE training programs
  • Follow all safe work procedures


Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Associate's degree in Electromechanical Technology OR Electronic Engineering Technology OR an electrical license OR 5+ years experience as an electrical technician in lieu of a degree.


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical system installation, operational techniques and safety compliance, instrumentation and controls, and building automation systems. Advanced knowledge highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill in interpreting and applying specifications, blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions in order to perform installation, repair and modification work.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel and internet)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety compliance.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) including validation issues and change control processes.
