Job Summary
The Electrical Contracts team is looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent for current and upcoming project needs across San Antonio who will support and oversee the Electrical construction team's project efforts by providing project oversight, coordinating schedules, collaborating with PM's, reviewing budgets, material ordering and management, and overseeing job completion.
Job Description
- Develops a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project
- Collaborates with other staff to create pre-electric estimates and budgets for materials and labor
- Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate
- Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications
- Collaborates with PM's to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are met
- Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed
- Executes electrical contracts according to terms of agreement
- Reviews budget throughout the project with PM
- Maintains records related to daily activities, manpower and required reports.
- Addresses any safety violations or other deficiencies
- Collaborates with management to answer questions and clarify procedures
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills Required
- 4+ years of experience in Electrical Commercial trade experience on major projects
- Experience overseeing and managing commercial construction projects such as: K-12 (schools), Higher Education, Federal, High Rise, Mixed-Use commercial spaces
- Ability to develop and create manpower and labor schedules, manpower forecasts, order material, read prints
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Additional Requirements
- TDLR Journeyman's license
- OSHA 30
- Shift Hours: Typically 7:00am - 4:00pm, depending on the needs
Pay Rate/Salary
- $80.00/hr - $95/hrdepending on experience. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set and/or location.
