Summary:
The Electrical Project Manager role is to plan and oversee a wide variety of construction projects from beginning to end. The Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory role. The Project Manager must have excellent communication and relationship building skills, problem solving, critical thinking, and the ability to prioritize.
To provide management oversight for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating employees, subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding safely with quality, on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute effective strategies and plans aligned with project objectives.
- Lead and support diverse projects from inception to completion.
- Comprehend contractual obligations and responsibilities outlined in project documents, ensuring proper documentation of changes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients across multiple projects.
- Facilitate project breakdown, planning, and execution.
- Coordinate meetings with subcontractors and clients to discuss project scopes.
- Review or develop engineering drawings and calculations for construction projects.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure electrical aspects are completed in line with safety, scope, schedule, and budget goals.
- Identify, analyze, and propose solutions to technical issues encountered during project execution.
- Collaborate with Senior Project Manager to assess field staff's technical skills and readiness.
- Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, and project costs.
Skills:
- Enforcing strict adherence to safety codes at all times.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Project management certifications or training.
- Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Candidates with relevant degrees may be preferred.
- Experience with modern project management techniques in complex organizations.
- Minimum 5 years of successful Electrical Project management experience (experience with large-scale projects and OSHA 30 certification is advantageous).
