Job Description
Engineer to be part of the team to design and manufacture electrical/electronic circuits for mobile satellite systems. The Engineer will need to interpret customer specifications, estimate and provide project timelines, prioritize and manage all aspects of the project, and follow through with full documentation. The Engineer must be able to troubleshoot issues, work with others, be flexible in their assignments and do whatever is necessary in order to help produce the most superior products in the industry. Products are for both the commercial and military industries.
Responsibilities:
Research and understand all the electrical, electronic, and RF components that are used within our systems whether designed and made internally or purchased off-the-shelf.
Understand the relationship between these components and how they interconnect.
Design appropriate electrical/electronic assemblies.
Create overall wiring and block diagrams.
Design the interconnecting cables between these components while choosing appropriate wire and connectors.
Will be working with cables that have power, communications, and RF considerations.
Develop test plans for these systems and be able to perform the tests.
Accurately create BOMs from CAD assemblies and subassemblies for manufacturing as well as any other supporting documentation.

Education/Skills:
5+ years experience.
Bachelors (Masters preferred) of Science in Engineering with preference given to Electrical Engineering.
Must have experience with 2d CAD software similar to AutoCAD or Draftsight.
Experience with 3d CAD software a plus; SolidWorks preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Visio a plus.
Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate information from drawings, purchase orders, customer specifications and many other technical documents.
Experience in the satellite communication industry a plus.
Preference for experience in the following areas:
