Job Description
Oberg Industries is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician who can install and repair electrical systems, devices and electrical components of industrial machinery and office equipment. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of National Electrical Code, conduit bending/installation, control wiring and troubleshooting capabilities. This position is a daylight shift working at our Metal Stamping Center located in Sarver, PA. Come be part of something bigger and join our Oberg team!

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install wiring in preparation for newly installed industrial machinery.
- Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctions in most electrical machinery.
- Repair all malfunctions in electrical machinery and lighting.
- Replace and reconnect electric motors.
- Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus at the company facilities.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, such as limit switches, pressure switches, solenoid valves, etc.
- Must be able to locate, diagnose and correct problems in equipment and systems utilizing test equipment and/or prior work experience.
- Other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work in a standing, sitting, or bent position for 10 hours/day and must be able to lift a maximum of 35 pounds with control and unassisted. The employee must be able to raise arms above shoulders and maintain dexterity for extended periods of time and also use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and be able to stoop or kneel for excessive periods of time. The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Must be able to read and understand electrical diagrams.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
- Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Electrical experience required.
- Successful completion of a 2-year trade school or equivalent experience preferred.
