POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling, pollution control, and production equipment throughout the facility. Demonstrate a basic level of skill in using appropriate machine and hand tools. Apply accepted mechanical maintenance practices and procedures while making repairs. Assist higher-level Maintenance Mechanics as necessary.
Note: This is a third shift position M-TH, 9 pm-7 am.
Pay is $$25.75-$38.75 per hour plus a shift premium of $2
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Constant standing.
• Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Occasional carrying, lifting up to 60 lbs, hand use, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, below waist level work, complex neck/spinal motion, and walking.
• Minimal climbing, foot use, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (GEDWorks program eligible)
• Basic mechanical and maintenance aptitude.
• Ability to use basic math skills.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to present information one-on-one and in small groups.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• One plus year of maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, machine installation, welding, and pipefitting.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling equipment, pollution control equipment, and production equipment throughout the facility to keep production and support equipment in operating condition.
• Assist higher-level mechanics with various job tasks.
• Operate forklift truck which is sometimes equipped with special attachments in a manner peculiar to maintenance for lifting, pulling, and transporting; use rigging and hoisting equipment.
• Safely and competently use maintenance shop tools such as drill press, power saw, and hydraulic press, as well as electric drills, grinders, sanders, pneumatic hammers, welding and cutting torches, wrenches, hammers, and a variety of others.
• Follow all plant safety rules, including a lockout of all plant equipment so that it is safe to work on; use safety equipment appropriate for the job; be aware of the safety of others.
• Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
• Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description.
