Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Provide appropriate responses to EIC technical and commercial enquiries, carrying out technical reviews
• Provide controls/electrical support across the full range of Spirax Sarco product and solution control systems
• Design, specification and creation of electrical related documentation (FDS, Electrical schematics, RA&MS, FAT, SAT and O&M)
• Program and commission electrical devices such as PLCs and Smart relays
• Design, assemble, configure & test standard and custom package control systems
• Attend customer sites and external suppliers as required,
• Keep up to date with any changes in legislation that may have an impact on what we can supply into our varied customer base
• Fault find and diagnose issues with installed electrical and mechanical systems
• Give technical advice taking into account relevant legislation, regulations and guidance notes e.g. CDM, IET wiring regulations, ATEX, etc
• Maintain collaboration across all business streams to ensure continuous improvement, consistency and commercial integrity
• Decision making with regard to technical and commercial integrity
• Direct impact on operation of the business within own area
• Collaborate with other teams, suppliers and customers that are external but have shared interest
• Update and, where possible, improve processes in own area
• Responsibility for managing EIC contractors and suppliers
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3 to 5+ years proven track record of working in a similar business/industry
• Excellent decision making ability
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent working knowledge of industrial systems and processes
• Contribution to managed projects, or managing specific elements i.e. EIC tasks
• PLC/SCADA Programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley or ABB).
• Designing and creation of electrical schematics
• Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols i.e. MODBUS, BACNET and PROFIBUS)
