Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable EI&C Field Inspector to join our team. As an Electrical Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of projects involving water or wastewater treatment plants and water distribution facilities. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to utilize your expertise in electrical inspections and witness a wide range of tests to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to project sites, including water and wastewater treatment plants and water distribution facilities.
• Collaborate with experienced inspectors to learn and understand various types of tests performed during equipment installation as part of projects.
• Independently visit project sites to witness and verify that contractors and third-party testing firms are following proper procedures.
• Witness and document a variety of tests, including NETA testing of transformers, lighting panels, service entrance sections, motor control centers, and power panels.
• Perform breaker and relay testing, hi-pot testing, and Megger testing.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of control panels for proper function.
• Verify proper torquing of medium voltage and low voltage power cables, as well as Motor Control Center bussing and/or bucket installations.
• Perform loop checks and final startup of equipment.
• Conduct seal-off inspections for installations in classified areas.
• Perform grounding system testing.
• Inspect installations, identify discrepancies, and create punch lists through Field Observation Reports.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman License/Certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
• Familiarity with testing procedures such as NETA testing, breaker and relay testing, hi-pot testing, Megger testing, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) is preferred but not required.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies during inspections.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel to project sites within Arizona (mostly Phoenix metro area) as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50k - $70k per year depending on experience and qualifications (negotiable)
