Job description

This position is expected to be a field assignment in Bridman, MI.

 

Sargent & Lundy, a leading organization committed to the safe and efficient operation of our client's facilities, seeks experienced and knowledgeable Electrical, I&C, & Mechanical Work Planners to join our team. As an Electrical, I&C, or Mechanical Work Planner, you will ensure the successful execution of maintenance and modification work packages while upholding our unwavering commitment to safety and quality. We are searching for highly skilled individuals with a strong background in electrical, I&C, or Mechanical Work planning who are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in their work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare comprehensive work instructions that guide various workgroups in executing corrective and preventive maintenance, surveillance performance, and modification implementation. Evaluate and approve material procurement recommendations necessary for the execution of work packages.
  • Conduct field walk-downs to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities. Collaborate with work management, supply, operations, and engineering to address work package issues and provide input to enhance work package quality.
  • Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials for planned work packages. Coordinate out-of-service notifications, plant barrier impairments, permits for welding/grinding, fire impairments, operability impact statements, regulatory/code documentation, hold/witness points, temporary leak repair documentation, and other essential requests to facilitate package preparation.
  • Verify the adequacy and compliance of work instructions with all applicable station procedures. Review and approve all required work packages to meet the highest safety, quality, and technical standards.
  • Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to streamline and enhance work package development while ensuring compliance with codes, standards, vendor recommendations, and maintenance directives.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent trade experience.
  • Minimum four years of experience in Electrical, I&C, or Mechanical planning work packages.
  • Minimum four years of experience in Nuclear Power plant operations (preferred).
  • Good communication and computer skills.
  • Successful completion of core supervisory/management training and development programs (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated client relationship-building experience.
  • Positive attitude and personality with the ability to build positive relationships.
