Electrical Helper

Are you interested in a career in the electrical field, but not sure where to start? Look no further! D&Z Electric is seeking full time Electrical Helpersto train with and aid our electricians. Electrical Helper is an entry level position with opportunities for career advancement!

D&Z Electric serves a variety of Commercial and Industrial businesses throughout the South-Central Pennsylvania region, supplying electrical, fire/security, automation, and communication services.

Electrical Helper Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in the Installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, lighting, camera systems, fire alarms, circuit breakers, and electrical outlets
• Ability to understand and put to use electrical wiring methods
• Utilize hand tools in a proper manner
• Use power tools to cut, drill, and move wiring through openings
• Transport materials, tools, and equipment to work sites
• Clean work areas
• Practice safety procedures, use and wear protective clothing and equipment as required
• Other duties as assigned

Electrical Helper Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to navigate construction and industrial sites that may include climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights, or moving over uneven terrain
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crawl, crouch, and climb
• Ability to use hands and arms to manipulate, touch, handle, and reach
• Ability to lift objects up to 80 pounds
• Ability to pull and push objects up to 100 pounds
• Ability to handle working in weather conditions such as intense humidity, heat, cold, and other conditions
• Ability to think clearly in moderate noise environments
