Position Summary:
As an electrician foreman your duties will include, but not be limited to, installation of electrical components within macro and in-building sites, electrical panel upgrades and safely performing jobs while adhering to rigid safety standards while ensuring quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Complete understanding and ability to perform and direct others on how to perform maintenance/installation of electrical components within wireless cell sites which involves cabinet sets, DC power plants, disconnects, meter pedestals/cans, transformers, emergency generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), etc.
- Perform civil work including grounding, trenching, and conduit installation associated with the electrical installation. Complete all internal and client required paperwork, job logs, field reports, and COP deliverables (pictures, forms, etc.)
- Maintain accurate records of equipment assignments.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships with local providers.
- Ensure compliance with client guidelines including, safety, construction, and installation procedures and policies, etc.
- Ensure compliance with company and government operating plans and procedures, including NEC, OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, etc.
- Housekeeping and organization skills (maintenance and cleanliness of job site, work vehicle, warehouse, etc.)
- Ability to determine special equipment or machines required for job completion.
- Order materials, supplies, or equipment.
- Measure distances or dimensions.
- Estimates costs for labor or materials.
- Quality control analysis, troubleshooting, and operation monitoring.
- Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears.
- Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
- Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
- Provide job status updates to Construction Managers.
Job Requirements:
- Certified Electrician
- 5+ years of experience in cell site construction
- 5+ years of experience in electrical field
- Intermediate Computer/Email Skills
- Intermediate Excel and Word Skills
- Must have your own set of basic hand tools
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to identify, differentiate, and wire AC & DC power.
- Ability to follow the NEC Codes
- Knowledge and ability to use power tools.
- Full knowledge and understanding of all materials required to complete jobs.
- Scissor lift / Man lift operation
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Strong understanding and ability to enforce MOP's and policies.
- Industry experience and understanding of multiple carrier standards and procedures (TMobile, Verizon, AT&T, Metro PCS, Sprint, etc.)
- Experience and knowledge of working with crane operators and crane picks (hand signals, rigging, etc.)
- Strong knowledge OSHA Regulation and Safety Procedures.
- Reliable / Flexible with work schedule.
MUST be able to pass a background and drug screen and be able to provide a clean driving record. Need to have reliable transportation. Wireless experience is preferred. Will need the ability to pay attention to detail, be a self-starter, and very proactive. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The position frequently requires activities like climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The position requires the employee to occasionally lift and/or move at least 50 pounds. This position is considered Safety-Sensitive
