Job Description
ProLine Electric Inc., headquartered in Lancaster, Ohio, is a full-service electrical contractor with a blend of commercial, industrial, and water/wastewater treatment plant projects. We are currently opening this position due to an upcoming retirement.
We are actively seeking an Electrical Estimator in Lancaster, OH to join our team.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30 am-4:30pm MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change.

Estimator Responsibilities:
- Read and effectively interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Determine total costs for projects.
- Prepare bids and proposals.
- Choose appropriate materials, verify prices, check vendor and sub-contractor pricing, and calculate profits on a given project.
- Utilize effective communication skills to communicate with project managers, customers, and other associates.
- Meet with construction managers, general contractors, owners, and engineers on the jobs to bid
- Work with Project Managers to create change orders on projects currently under contract as needed.
- Assist in setting up budgets on contract jobs.
- Assist in the buyout of packaged materials and sub-contractors for large projects.
Estimator Experience and Qualification Requirements:
- (5+) Years Estimating Experience
- Verifiable Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Experience Preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Experience with estimating software a must. Experience with EBM estimating software a plus.
- Computerized/Digital Takeoff
- Ability to use online bid systems such as Bid Express.
- Basic knowledge of current means and method of electrical installations.
- (10+) years of field experience with electrical installations or (10+) years of electrical engineering design a plus.
- Strong computerized estimating skills.
- Experience with conceptual estimating, low voltage systems estimating, & design/build estimating a plus.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with the NEC.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail along with the ability to multi-task.
- Willing to learn and be a part of a growing team.

- Perform additional assignments as required.
- Adhere to company screenings.
