Program Summary
Celanese has a commitment to building a strong pipeline of talent through our University Intern Program. We are currently recruiting for 12-week, paid internships that will take place from May 20 - August 9, 2024.
Location will be Florence, KY.
The program provides students with hands-on, real-world experience in the summer prior to their senior year, with the potential for full time employment post-graduation. The internship program is project based, including group and individual work. Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in:
- Networking with peers, former interns, and company leadership
- Executive information sessions to strengthen business knowledge
- Volunteering and community impact events
- Employee Resource Groups
- Midterm and final performance evaluations
- Use basic engineering skills to provide solutions for assigned projects
- Apply collegiate curriculum and current knowledge/practices to solve specific technical problems and standard design problems
- Execute challenging projects for assigned operation unit(s)
- Collaborate with a team to address challenging real-world problems
- Additional responsibilities will vary depending on the specific role
Qualified candidates will have the following:
- Pursuing a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
- Anticipated graduation date December 2024 or May 2025
- GPA 2.8 or higher
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering mathematics
- Microsoft suite proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and learning agility
- Proven success working in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Ability to work in the U.S. with no restrictions (OPT H1b, TN visa currently not supported)
