 Your role in our team
  • You will assemble mechanical and electrical assemblies to meet specifications and functionality
  • You will rout hoses and wires using technical knowledge for correct functionality
  • You will confer with technician(s) in charge of project and Validation Engineer on recommendations in mechanical and electrical design changes
  • You will report defective materials or questionable conditions to technician(s) in charge
  • You will provide production support to the assembly area
  • You will support prototyping activities of new product development
  • You will perform general diagnosis, testing, and repairs
  • You will make adjustments to drawings through red lining and return them to engineers for corrections
  • You will help determine electrical components needed to meet customer specifications
  • You will follow machine through in-house startup and software debug
  • You will review safety system of the machine to ensure operator's safety
  • You will prepare the operating manuals accurately to reduce service calls
  • You will assist in developing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs and Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens for all machine function
  • You will use Allen Bradley software (RSLogix 5000) to begin creating a ladder logic program from a starting template to control machinery and components as they were designed to function
  • You will use Allen Bradley software (RSView Studio ME) to begin creating HMIs from a starting template for operator interface
  • You will ensure a quality cosmetic appearance upon completion
 Your profile
  • You have a High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • You have completed sophomore classes and are enrolled in an Electrical or Computer Engineering program
  • Your familiarity with a variety of programming languages a plus (Python, C++, C#, VB)
  • You are able to work full time during the summer and at least 12 hours/week during the school year
  • You have the ability to work in a team environment
  • You show organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • You show knowledge of production and assembly techniques
  • You have the ability to solve practical problems
  • You exhibit troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical
  • You have the ability to read technical drawings
  • You exhibit following instructions with precision
