About the Role
Candidate will work within the Magna Lighting Division for the Electrical Engineering Hardware and Software Design team.
The candidate will be responsible for electrical circuit design, testing and prove-out. The candidate must be willing to learn how to use Magna Lighting’s schematic capture and layout tools and work within the Product Development Process to achieve circuit design and development goals. The candidate will also need to be able to document, build and demonstrate the circuit designs and test data and submit those to the project design team for approval.
The candidate will need to work with the software group, where applicable, to write the necessary code to demonstrate circuit design and development goals as well.
Your Responsibilities
• Complete the given assignments on time.
• Electronic circuit design and development, including microcontroller based designs.
• Software development on embedded microcontroller platform.
• Schematic Capture and layout.
• Development and testing of circuits in the Electrical Engineering lab.
• Ability to formally present results for review.
Who we are looking for
• Basic knowledge of electronic components.
• Basic knowledge of computer programming.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Your preferred qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Currently Attending a College or University and enrolled in either an Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science program.
• Knowledge of schematic capture and layout tools (Altium).
• Knowledge of MathCAD.
• Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Software coding experience a plus
• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer..
