About the opportunity: Electrical Engineer

C&I is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits. We are currently seeking a full-time ElectricalEngineer to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Electrical Engineering team which is responsible for developing designs for electrical, instrument and control systems and performing a variety of computer-based modeling, design, engineering, and planning tasks on projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing complete design packages, including construction scope of work, for complex projects that meet design intents and customer expectations. Designs are well coordinated with other departments.
• The Electrical Engineer will resolve coordination conflicts effectively, negotiating win-win solutions to multi-discipline project design issues.
• With appropriate support, ensuring vendor submittals meet intended use. Coordinating multi-discipline review of vendor documents. Resolving conflicting comments. Considering costs associated with requested changes. Preparing a single set of comments for response to vendor.
• Monitoring and reports progress against engineering schedules and budgets. Independently taking corrective actions to meet plan.
• Developing independent quality plan to supplement normal project execution plan when appropriate. Ensuring accuracy, completeness and consistency in the work produced with project team objectives and customer expectations.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year ABET accredited engineering and a minimum of three years of related work experience;
• OR, EIT Registration and two years of related work experience as described.

• Ability to travel domestically or internationally to client locations, vendor shops, and project sites. Travel may be up to 10%
• Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements.
• Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and pass any required background checks.
• Performs work in a safe manner in accordance with C&I and client requirements.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of the job which could include exposure to the weather, heights, small spaces, noise, etc. while walking on job sites.
• Valid Driver’s License
