Job Summary

The Electrical Drafter works directly with Design Engineers and VDC Detailers to produce construction and as-built drawings in three dimensional digital models using REVIT. They will have solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.

Position Responsibilities

• Uses Revit to create, modify and release drawings under direct supervision of engineers and detailers.
• Self-checks own work for completeness, accuracy and meeting standards.
• Works from drawings, sketches or scanned images, customer drawings, or government drawings or specifications.
• Responsible for using and maintaining an organized file system for drawings.
• Able to work closely with engineers and other personnel to obtain information and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Prepare accurate detailed record drawings from data supplied by field surveys.
• Copy project drawings.
• Will use the company drawings standards as guidelines.
• Operate and maintain plotters.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum three years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Associates degree or completion of a technical trade school in Revit, drafting or related field is preferred.
• Able to modify existing drawings to minimize the need to create new drawings, and when necessary create new drawings in a timely fashion that meet company standards.
• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Suite required; ability to learn new software required.
• Self-starter capable of working independently and as a member of a team.

Compensation

$80-100k per year, in addition employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within that range is dependent upon the employee's performance, skills, experience, and qualifications.
