Primary Function
Under general supervision, analyzes, approves and coordinates distribution system outages to remove equipment from service; performs load transfers to relieve the overloaded conditions within the district's Electrical Distribution system; and patrols and inspects the distribution circuits for accuracy of constructed structures and appurtenant against distribution one-line circuit maps. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree with a major in engineering, business, or related field and
two years of increasingly responsible experience in power plant operations or electric utility system operations.
Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required.
Licensing & Certification Requirements
A valid driver's license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.
An official current driving record (obtained within the last six months) from your local State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or from the official DMV website must accompany the job application (no third-party records accepted).
Veteran's Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline.
