The Electrical Engineering Professional is responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
General Responsibilities
• Key participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges
• Collaborates on feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
• Organizes development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launch
• Key participant in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations
• Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including; producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures
• Collaborates with senior engineers/managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Additional Responsibilities:
- Define and review safety activities and work products from electronics suppliers.
- Write and manage safety requirements for new products.
- Interface with Sensata safety teams to align data flow up and down the supply chain.
- Assist Sensata product development teams with safety cases.
- Present safety results and discuss challenges with customers.
- Identify and define safety critical processes for Sensata production.
- Development and promotion of safety standards and templates within Sensata.
- Share knowledge of functional safety and project successes internally at Sensata.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ISO26262 and related processes and work products.
- Understanding of the functions of common analog and digital design blocks.
- Experience with software tools supporting safety analysis and work products such as JAMA, Medini, and APIS.
