We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical CAD Designer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, with proficiency in CAD software to create detailed electrical systems drawings for construction projects. This role involves collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient design plans that meet all technical specifications and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and modify electrical design plans using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Collaborate with the engineering team to gather project specifications and design requirements.
Prepare electrical systems drawings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and control systems for commercial and residential buildings.
Ensure that all designs are in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
Participate in design review meetings to present design plans, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments.
Coordinate with other CAD designers and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technicians to integrate electrical designs with other MEP systems.
Maintain and organize all electrical design documents and CAD files.
Assist in estimating material requirements and costs based on design plans.
Stay updated on the latest CAD technologies and electrical design trends to improve efficiency and design quality.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, CAD technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Electrical CAD Designer, preferably within the MEP construction industry.
Strong proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
Knowledge of MEP construction processes, electrical systems, and code compliance.
Ability to interpret and create electrical diagrams and blueprints accurately.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
