Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Location: 1700 Blue Hills Drive, N.E. Roanoke VA 24012
Position: 12 Months temp to hire
Shift: 1st Shift (5 am to 1:30 pm)
Pay Rate: $ 16/Hr.
Job Description:
- Responsible for working on a production line by ensuring that all processes are completed effectively and efficiently and ready to be handed to the next member of the team.
- Time management, reading technical documents, and having the ability to identify quality control issues are a must.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lift material onto machines, manually or with a hoist.
- Document production numbers on a board at the station..
- Review purchase orders with manufacturing details, design specifications, and assembly instructions to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
- Cut and strip wires according to specifications.
- Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using pneumatic drills, drivers, rivets, bolts, glue, soldering or micro-welding equipment.
- Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
- Pack finished assemblies for shipment and place on pick up line for distribution using tape dispenser and safety box cutter.
- Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand.
- Read testing devices to ensure the quality of the product.
- Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean workstations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
- Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 8 hours
- Able to perform with constant movement of the arms
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Salary: $16.00 per hour
