Electrical And Mechanical Assembler

We are searching for an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for working on custom builds and Electrical and Mechanical work. The successful candidate will be highly organized, resourceful and results driven. This position reports to the Shop Supervisor. Please note the application instructions below.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble electrical subsystems, installation of electrical subsystems and integration of assemblies into PLC controlled equipment. This includes wiring, cable assemblies, control box assemblies, sensors or solenoid driven actuators.
• Assemble pneumatic and Mechanical sub-assemblies
• Wire junction boxes and run cables based on electrical schematics and cable diagrams.
• Construct multi-pole connectors using soldering skills.
• Calibrate sensors & actuators based on reading the instructions and electrical schematics.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring and equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure system functions correctly.
• Troubleshoot operation of devices.
• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
• Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside machinery and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
• Promote a positive work environment by modeling our core values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• An understanding of PLC controllers (for instance, Allen-Bradley micrologix 1400 and Siemens S7-1200) and how they are used in systems.
• Capable of reading & understanding electrical schematics and pneumatic and cable diagrams.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, or mechanical systems highly desirable.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively across departments/teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others

HOURS

Shift hours are 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. All employees have the option of working a 9/80 schedule, meaning they work 9 hours Monday – Thursday (5:00 AM start), 8 hours on Friday and take every other Friday off work. Occasional overtime is required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This an hourly, non-exempt position with a starting pay range between $31.50 - $36.50 per hour, depending on experience. Annual profit sharing for meeting production goals.

Physical Requirements

The position requires working in a factory environment which may include hot, cold, or noisy conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Also required is the ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and stairs, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary. Must be able to walk extended distances over uneven ground while wearing proper PPE.
